Yusra's story

Her story.

Yusra was born on 6 February 2026 — just two days after her dad's birthday. Our perfect late birthday gift.

Although Yusra was only with us for 115 days, the impact she had on our lives is impossible to measure. She was there for so many of our most precious moments, becoming part of memories we will carry with us forever.

Yusra had deep, beady eyes that seemed to talk.
A giggle that made everyone around her burst into a smile.
She was perfect — almost too good to be true.

We were lucky enough to experience a month of Ramadan and two Eids with Yusra. She spent her sister's 3rd birthday with her. She had the most incredible welcome home, from cakes being distributed on her arrival to a celebration with over 200 people. She was in Mama's arms on her birthday.

From the very beginning, Yusra was part of everything. She joined toddler swimming sessions, playdates, café trips and family meals. She experienced funfairs, bowling, BBQs and countless local parks.

Wherever we went, a little piece of Yusra was there.

Her impact on the people around her was indescribable. Yumna was completely attached to her sister — her little world revolving around being a big sister. Our family and friends were utterly obsessed with Yusra, drawn to her in a way that we now understand was something truly special.

Even strangers would stop to say hello. Just seeing her brought people a smile and seemed to brighten their day.

Yusra's life was short, but it was full.
She was loved deeply, she was surrounded by joy, and she left a mark on more hearts than we will ever know.
