A promise that began with one little girl.
Hi, I’m Madiha.
I'm Mum to my beautiful daughters, Yumna and Yusra. Yumna is in my arms, and Yusra is forever in my heart.
I have worked in education for the past 10 years, and my love for children and passion for education have shaped so much of who I am.
I wanted to bring those skills, experiences and my understanding of children and families into Yusra's Promise, creating a space that supports families in meaningful, thoughtful and practical ways.

I'm Dad to two beautiful girls, Yumna and Yusra.
My background is in optics and healthcare, where I have worked as an Optometrist, caring for children from all walks of life — including vulnerable children and those growing up in loving family homes.
My daughters and my family have always been at the heart of everything I do. After losing our beautiful Yusra, that love became the driving force behind Yusra's Promise.
Through Yusra's Promise, I hope to use my experience, compassion and love as a dad to help support other families through some of life's hardest moments.
We have started Yusra's Promise after the devastating loss of our baby girl, Yusra, at nearly four months old.
We were a family of four. We had our two beautiful girls, our hopes, our plans and a life we never imagined would change so suddenly. Then, in the space of a moment, our world was turned upside down.
As we found ourselves navigating the most heartbreaking and life-altering chapter of our lives, we began to realise just how much of an impact our little girl had made in the short time she was here.
Yusra may have only been with us for a short while, but she touched so many lives. She brought love, kindness and connection wherever she went — and we knew we couldn't let that end when her life did.
Yusra's Promise was born from that love.
We wanted to give meaning to her beautiful name and create something that would allow her legacy to live on — by bringing comfort, connection and moments of ease to families walking through the unimaginable pain of losing a child.
We know that grief can feel incredibly lonely. We know there are moments when you don't know what to say, what to do, or how you are supposed to keep going.
So, through Yusra's Promise, we hope no bereaved parent ever feels completely alone.
