In loving memory of Yusra

Yusra: Ease.

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”

Yusra means ease, comfort and relief. We honour her name by creating moments of ease for families facing the loss of a child.

Small lives. Big impact.
Remembering with love. Carrying kindness forward.

Always a family of four.

A promise that began
with one little girl.

We’re Madiha and Husnain. Mum and Dad to two beautiful girls, Yumna and Yusra. One in our arms, and one forever in our hearts.

After losing Yusra at nearly four months old, we wanted the love she brought into the world to keep growing. Yusra’s Promise was born from that love.

Through remembrance, thoughtful support and small acts of kindness, we hope no bereaved parent ever feels completely alone.

With love, Madiha & Husnain

The family behind the promise

Our four pillars

One little life.
So many ways to make a difference.

Remember

Keeping children’s names, stories and personalities alive.

Support

Making life a little easier for families and siblings.

Learn

Helping families and communities learn things that can protect and support children.

Live

Creating positive experiences for children, in memory of those who didn’t get the chance to grow up.

One life can create a lifetime of impact.

A little ease, when you need it

You don’t have to carry it alone.

Someone to listen

Book a chat

Sometimes it helps to speak to someone who understands. Ask for a gentle conversation, at a pace that feels right for you.

Request a chat

Every family is different. Send a request and we’ll discuss what feels right, subject to availability.
A chat offers peer support and a listening ear; it isn’t counselling or an emergency service.

Make a Yusra promise

A small promise.
A little more kindness.

Yusra means ease. So we make promises in her name—promises that make life a little easier for someone else.

Choose something close to your heart, or write your own. Every act of kindness carries her love forward.

Yusra’s story

Her life was short.
Her love wasn’t.

Born on 6 February 2026, Yusra filled 115 days with a lifetime of love. Her deep, beady eyes. Her little giggle. The joy she brought to her big sister.

Every little life matters.

Little Lives

Every child has a story.

Not just the day they died.

Little Lives gives families a place to share the children they carry with them, so their lives are remembered for more than their loss.

Share as much or as little as feels right. Your story comes to us privately, and we’ll talk with you before anything is published.

A few gentle answers

Here to help you find your way.

What is Yusra’s Promise?

Yusra’s Promise is a family-led initiative created by Madiha and Husnain in memory of their daughter Yusra. It brings together remembrance, practical support, learning and acts of kindness to create moments of ease for families.

How can I ask for support?

You can enquire about a tailored book, request a grief support box or ask to book a chat using our support forms. Tailored books, grief support boxes and chats are free. The team will reply by email to discuss availability and suitability before anything is arranged.

Can I share my child’s story?

Yes. Little Lives welcomes stories from parents and family members who have permission to share them. Your submission is sent privately to the team. We will agree the words and how your family is named with you before publishing anything.

Do I need to donate to make a promise?

No. Making a Yusra promise is about a small act of kindness, remembrance or learning. Choose a suggested promise or write your own, and add your first name.

Keep her promise with us

Her story doesn’t end here.

There is no right way. A small, kind act is enough.
